Design
Well, this AC adapter is no different than any other AC adapter. It has a large rectangular base where it plugs into the outlet, and a black cord that connects to the GameBoy. The cord material is fairly high quality and very durable. The only thing wrong with it is its size, which is fairly big. It isn't exactly something you want to lug around in your GameBoy case. Basically, it's not designed to be carried around; it is designed to be kept at your house.

Value
Although the adapter can be pricey the price to purchase this accessory from Nintendo directly is $19.95 USD, it can save you tons of money that you would normally be spending on batteries. It really comes down to how much time you spend playing you GameBoy at home. If you play enough that buying this will save you money, then you should buy it. But if you only use your GameBoy out of your house, then the AC adapter probably isn't worth the purchase. However, you may be like me, and sometimes get into an RPG and you just can't stop playing it. In this case you probably need an AC adapter so that your batteries don't run out when you haven't saved in hours. The AC adapter packaging states that a limited warranty is offered. However, Nintendo's policy is that all hardware accessories that they manufacture include a 3 month warranty.

Satisfaction
Well, it is an AC adapter, that's all it is. It supplies you with power. If you need power, just buy this thing. I was satisfied with it because I play a lot of GameBoy at my house.

If you do not like paying for batteries, and you play GameBoy by a power outlet, then you may want to purchase this device.
