After the notorious break-up of the Goledneye team at Rare, some of the leading developers created a company called Free Radical Design. This new company set out to continue the great first person action established in Goldeneye 007.

The first game they made was Timesplitters, an original title for the Play Station 2. The game focused on the multiplayer aspect and had a poor one-player game. The Free Radical Team admitted the game was rushed and not as polished as they would have liked. Years later, taking as much time as they needed, Free Radical Design has come up with Timesplitters 2. A sequel to the original created for each of the next generation console systems.

With days until its release, TimeSplitters 2 has already received high praise from many respectable sources. The game is a combination of excellent game play and remarkable graphics. It has a wide range of weapons as the storyline takes place over history. The options for this game look great, with the added feature of a multiplayer map editor which has been programmed into the game.

With Rare now making X-Box exclusive titles, your hopes and dreams of Perfect Dark Zero are now over. But you have to ask yourself. What made Perfect Dark great? To me (and most) it was the tight FPS engine and options. Well, the FPS engine in Perfect Dark was based off the Goldeneye one, and no different is the TimeSplitters engine, which was also based on Goldeneye's. To all First Person Shooter fans, if you are a Nintendo gamer, what you need is TimeSplitters 2.
