The mega popular Mario Party series will return once again on the Nintendo GameCube. Mario Party 4 will add upon the board-game style multiplayer fun that was established on the three Nintendo 64 titles.

Mario Party 4 will contain 50 all-new mini-games as well as some new game play options. This time around players can team up against others for some 2-on-2 tag team battle. There will be optional handicap systems that will balance out the different between skilled players and unskilled players. This game will have increased user-board interaction with the "mini-giant" system. The "mini-giant" system will allow characters to grow or shrink, giving them access to different areas of the game board.

Mario Party 4 was never a graphical powerhouse on the Nintendo 64 and it doesn't look like it will be one on the GameCube either. This game's nature appeals mostly to younger gamers. Older gamers my be turned off by the Mario Party series because it rewards luck instead of skill just like all board games do.

Mario Party 4 developed by Hudson Soft (creators of Bomberman) will be shipped on October 21st, 2002.
