Tetris Attack is a very addictive puzzle game that it bears a close resemblance to the game Puyo Puyo in game design. But the most evident difference between Tetris Attack and Puyo Puyo is in the verses mode. In Tetris Attack, there is a higher frequency of garbage block "dumping" when compared to Puyo Puyo. This makes the verses mode far more exciting and addictive.
Furthermore, Tetris Attack has a wide variety of play modes, far more than some of the puzzle games that are released today.
Nintendo released this game in August of 1996, near the end of the SNES lifespan for a budget price and proved to be one of the best multiplayer titles on the system.
