Kirby's Avalanche is based on the popular Japanese puzzle game Puyo Puyo. Nintendo and Sega both released their own versions of this game under different names. Sega released Dr. Robotnik's Bean Machine and Nintendo released Kirby's Avalanche. This game was developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo in 1995.
