Scientists, Dr. Light and Dr. Willy created several humanoid robots that were designed to make life easier for the people of the world. However, Dr. Willy betrayed Dr. Light and programmed almost all of the robots to suit his own world-domination oriented goals. The only robot that wasn't reprogrammed was Mega Man. It's up to Mega Man to stop Dr. Willy and save the world. This game was developed and published by Capcom.

Mega Man is an action oriented platforming game. Mega Man jumps and runs through levels while shooting down enemies with his arm cannon. Once Mega Man defeats a boss, he gains another type or arm cannon weapon. Certain weapons are more effective against certain bosses, while other weapons do little damage. The beauty of Mega Man games is that you can complete the game in any order you wish. One may decide to defeat Iceman then use his special power to go on and beat Fireman. Mega Man boasts some excellent graphics and audio. The controls are mostly excellent, but there are some collision detection issues at certain points in the game.
