Mini-Review

It is mentioned above that this game has the same story line as DKC 2; it also has similar level designs. When playing this game, it is almost like you are playing a toned-down version of DKC 2. This may cause avid players of Donkey Kong Country to be unimpressed with this game.

However, some of the problems that were present in the original Donkey Kong Land have been addressed here; most notably the issue of viewing foreground characters has been improved greatly. It is much easier to differentiate between your character and enemy from the background and in that respect, DKL 2 is a superior game to DKL.
