Background

This is the most underrated of the first-generation GameCube games. The hero of the game, Captain Olimar, has crash landed on an exotic planet. His only hope is the even more exotic Pikmin creatures. He must use them to collect the parts of his damaged spacecraft. This game was developed and published by Nintendo.

Mini-Review

While people may try to classify this game, it is almost impossible to do so. Try and think of it as an arcade-style real-time strategy game.

Pikmin is another one of those games that you can give credence to Nintendo's "cute factory." This game is deceptively simple and ingenious in its complexity.

The environments in this game are fabulous, the sound is excellent too. The music is nothing spectacular but it puts you in the mood well.

What it all comes down to is that Pikmin is another great franchise Nintendo can add to the mix of its games. Well done. Innovation is good and this game is innovative.

Score - 8.8
